Although owner John Callewaert and one assistant Pat are skilled and knowledgeable and friendly, they are slow and outrageously expensive. Beware. We were replacing old chainplates ($3-6k) and decided to unstep the mast to clean up the conduit and replace a cracked bobstay nut. John then scared us into replacing the whole bobstay and cransiron as well as a list of items to clean up on the mast. This was estimated to bump up the project to $13k and roughly 3 weeks. The invoices on work were delayed such that we were at $13k/3 weeks at the first report. Whole project cost $21k and 7-9 weeks. An argument over the billing yielded no compromise so I paid. John offered to do a sea trial tuning under load but never did do it. We feel they took advantage of us.
